Websites and news organizations make money from advertising when we view their content. There are three important distinctions for you to know:
- Native Advertising - advertising that tries to sell or promote a product in the guise of a news story
- Traditional Advertising - most common advertising that sells or promotes a product
- News story - real content containing factual information about a subject and independent of bias and should answer, who, what, when and how
For this post take a look at the following website banner and answer this question:

I believe that it is traditional as it focuses mainly on its topic and does not hide or advertise anything within it.
ReplyDeleteIt is traditional advertising because it promotes the company, Gotham Writers and gives no other information that might label it as a news story or native advertising.
ReplyDeleteI think that it is traditional because its straight to the point, and it doesn't hide anything
ReplyDeleteI think this ad is traditional because it seems to have nothing to do with any important news, but instead is trying to persuade you to buy what they're selling.
ReplyDeleteI think that it is traditional.Because it does not appear any other information.
ReplyDeleteI think it is traditional ad. These are the kind of ads you see pop up on Youtube. They are very common.
ReplyDeletei dont think this ad is important. it is very traditional. i see ads just like this one everywhere and they always pop up on website that i just ignore.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a traditional advertisment because it is promoting Gotham Writers and they want to drive your attention by putting "save $20 with promo code". They're also not giving any other information.
